The VST Suite™ software addresses diet/order change management in several ways, from meal selection to tray delivery. “Exceptions” are used to identify and alert the user when a patient’s order change impacts selections and delivery. These features assist staff in identifying and resolving Exceptions, increasing selection accuracy, and reducing tray waste:
Dashboard views: Meals Your Way (MYW) and Trays Your Way (TYW) dashboards present a visual queue (red highlight) to alert staff that there is an order change impacting selections. The highlight remains active until selections are resolved.
Delivery Alerts: Staff are alerted if a patient order change occurs during tray assembly, cart loading, and tray delivery processes. These alerts indicate if there is a change to the diet or allergen, requiring review and/or a new tray. In addition, staff are alerted if the patient is discharged or transferred, or if the tray should be held due to an NPO order.
